FOSTERING

Why Foster?

Fostering creates space for more cats to be rescued and gives each animal a safe place to thrive before adoption.

It is a short-term commitment with no costs involved.Even people who work full-time and travel regularly can participate, and allows you to make a meaningful difference without long-term commitment or financial strain. It also gives you a chance to try out living with the cat before deciding to adopt a permanent new cat into your family.

All Expenses Covered

Mike’s Vet covers all  needs, including veterinary care and as long as these services are arranged through the rescue, you don't have to worry about anything. Food, litter and starter kit, including bed, scratcher, litter box etc are all provided. Fosterers are fully supported by a friendly, experienced team that helps with questions, placement decisions, and matching each cat to the right environment.

Your

Responsibility

You provide a safe temporary home for rescue cats. This can be in a spare room, or any suitable indoor space. Foster responsibilities include keeping the cat indoors, providing daily care, and isolating the foster cat at first if there are resident pets. Fosterers help cats settle, heal, and socialise, A temporary commitment- fosters must notify the rescue in advance  if the cat ever needs to be moved.
